Here's an inside look at the doings of students at Marbello High School. As the countdown to Graduation ticks on, everyone is totally excited. You'll get to meet some of the graduating class, and hear their thoughts on prom dresses, friends, dating, future plans, what's hot, what's not - What rocks!

Our school is a low-slung, red brick building built somewhere way back in the dark ages of the sixties. It's got a student population of around 800 kids. Sixty to eighty of them are graduating this year, so the Prom is a totally big deal. The place is humming. No one talks, thinks or dreams about anything else. Sure, the kids are all like a bit nervous about the finals - yuck - and the teachers are looking really frayed and frazzled, like they're more worried than the students, but hey! It's what grad's all about! The grad rings are seriously cool this year. Most people are going for the silver models. Chloë keeps saying she's going to put one through her nose; Tisha insists on having one measured to wear on her thumb. Cool! Anyhow, ring fever has hit.

The Prom Committee is also in charge of the music and all the grads are being polled on this. We all get a say. We have a humongous gymnasium - yes it's tacky with green walls and a blue floor - but we're putting a lot of energy into disguising it with flowers, crepe, linen table cloths and special lights. We've had garage sales, bake sales, car washes, school lotteries - you name it - and we've managed to raise about $1500 for the big night. This Prom is going to buzz!
